Woodedge is a detached lodge at the forest edge, sleeping four across two bedrooms and one bathroom. The ground-floor layout centres on an open-plan living space with a 50-inch TV and dining area, while the kitchen handles full self-catering with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine. One bedroom has a king bed, the other two singles. Essentials like heating, linen, towels and wi-fi are covered, and there's decking and garden furniture outside to use the hot tub year-round.
The location suits walkers and cyclists above all. Mabie Forest starts at the boundary, and the 7Stanes mountain-bike trails are practically on the doorstep—from easy family routes to serious terrain. A mile away, Loch Arthur Farm Shop at Beeswing does lunch and award-winning cheese. Dumfries town centre, with its shops and restaurants, is a short drive; Castle Douglas, marketed as the Food Town, offers independent food and craft shops. Galloway Forest Park, the UK's largest, lies within reach for waterfalls, mountains and star-gazing. The coast is 11 miles away. Parking for two cars is on site.

Fantastic lodge with hot tub - ideal for a cosy weekend away. The whole development is very well maintained and you can sit on the decking and just listen to the birds sing or watch the cows and sheep in the adjacent field as you enjoy a cuppa or whatever else you prefer. There is a path at the end of the lodges where you can go and explore the woods and walk down to nearby Loch Arthur. Stayed for 3 nights with my family and everyone loved it.

Amazing place! Lovely views. Super clean and well stocked. Was left a box of chocolates aswell! There are lots of games to play in the cupboard. Can't wait to come back!!

Just back from.a 3 night stay at Cairnyard lodges. This is the second time we have visited Cairnyard lodges this year, we are hoping to fit in another stay before the end of the year, as we love the place. We first stayed at the end of May, we loved the lodge so much we booked another short break. The lodge is well equipped, everything you need for a self catering break. We took our dog this time, she loved the treets provided and enjoyed watching the cows and sheep passing the garden. If you are looking for first class accommodation in a gorgeous setting don't hesitate get it booked. Can't wait to return. ❤️

We had an amazing stay at Woodway Lodge in Beeswing. The lodge was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The huge hot tub was a definite highlight – clean, private, and perfect for unwinding. We loved the peaceful view over the fields, and getting visits from the cows each morning and evening made it feel even more special. Communication was excellent – directions and entry instructions were clear and easy, which made check-in totally stress-free. This place is a real gem for anyone wanting a quiet, luxurious escape in the countryside. Great places to visit round about. We’ll definitely be back!
