Woodview is a detached lodge where everything happens on the ground floor—living space, kitchen, bedrooms and shower room all flow together without stairs. You arrive into an open-plan interior with a 50-inch television, dining area and a kitchen fitted with electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. One bedroom has a kingsize bed; the other two singles. The shower room includes a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Parking for two cars sits on site, and the essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are covered.

The property stands at the edge of Mabie Forest in Dumfries and Galloway, with a courtyard garden and your own hot tub for four. Cyclists will find themselves minutes from forest trails and the 7Stanes network; the Loch Arthur Farm Shop is a mile away. Dumfries lies a short drive off, with restaurants and shops, while Castle Douglas—marketed as the Food Town—offers independent grocers and cafés. Galloway Forest Park, the UK's largest, is within reach for walks, lochs and stargazing. A beach sits 11 miles distant. Note that a step leads into the courtyard. No smoking throughout the property.
