Drumwherry by the Sea

Drumwherry by the Sea is a ground-floor cottage in the hamlet of Monreith, where a handful of houses overlook the Galloway coastline. The layout is straightforward: a living room with Smart TV, a dining room opening from the kitchen, and three bedrooms—two doubles and one single—plus a shower room. Everything you need for cooking is here, from oven and hob to a washing machine tucked into the kitchen. Bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are included; a travel cot and highchair are available if required. One small dog can stay free.

Behind the cottage, an enclosed garden has seating and furniture, with parking for two cars on site. The beach is a short walk away—Monreith Sands is a long, wide expanse of sand with cliffs behind it, good for swimming, fishing and exploring rock pools. The Machars Peninsula spreads inland from here, dotted with gardens including Logan Botanical Gardens, and villages like Sandhead, Portpatrick and the Isle of Whithorn lie a short drive along the coast. The hamlet itself has a village shop, restaurant and café. Note that there are 4 steps down into the garden, and smoking is not permitted in the property.
