Galloway Farmstay is a single-storey cottage built for unhurried living, with ground-floor rooms that spread across a layout suited to families or groups of six. The building centres on a sitting room warmed by a wood-burning stove—initial fuel is provided—and a well-appointed kitchen where you can prepare proper meals. Three bedrooms sleep six: one with a king bed and ensuite shower, one with a double, and one with two singles. A second bathroom serves the other rooms. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered.
From here, the Dumfries and Galloway landscape opens outward. The cottage overlooks countryside, but the coast is minutes away: Garlieston with its sandy beach lies under three miles south, while the Isle of Whithorn offers sailing and fishing further along. Inland, Galloway Forest Park sprawls across 300 square miles, home to the 7Stanes mountain bike trails at Kirroughtree. Newton Stewart, three miles north, serves as a practical base for shops and restaurants. Wigtown, Scotland's National Book Town, is close enough for an afternoon outing. Parking on site takes three cars. One well-behaved pet stays free. The property does not permit smoking.
