You enter Galloway Farmstay - Claunch into an open-plan ground floor where living, dining and kitchen merge into one spacious room. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Off this main space sits a bedroom with a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Upstairs, reached by steep stairs, the mezzanine bedroom has two single beds. The property sleeps four and is yours alone—no other guests, no shared spaces. Outside is a private hot tub for four and parking for two cars. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included.
The farmstay sits on working agricultural land in Dumfries and Galloway, within reach of both coast and forest. Newton Stewart, three miles away, is the main town hereabouts, with shops and restaurants. The Galloway Forest Park spreads across 300 square miles inland; Kirroughtree within it has the 7Stanes mountain bike trails. Coastal villages and harbours lie nearby—Garlieston, the Isle of Whithorn, Sandhead and Portpatrick all have beaches and harbourside walks. Wigtown, Scotland's National Book Town, sits inland. Further along the coast the Mull of Galloway RSPB nature reserve draws seabirds each spring and summer. The property does not accept children or babies. No smoking inside.

Lovely spotless cottage in great location for exploring. Very quiet even though it is in the middle of the farm and attached to the farmhouse. Hot tub in a lovely little secret garden type setting a very short walk from the cottage. Easy to get to and a great network of roads for exploring the area. Only downside was restricted views from the cottage and 11pm curfew on hot tub which restricted summer star gazing at its peak.

This was a great experience! Lynne was very helpful with our arrival time as we arrived late, yet she still had everything set up for us. The hot tub was definitely a great ammenity!

A great find. Located on a working farm, away from all distractions. The cottage was lovely, clean and very comfortable: kingsize bed, walk in wet room, netflix etc . Very peaceful location, a great place to unwind and relax away from it all, the jacuzzi/hot tub was a fabulous bonus, especially after a day exploring the local sites and coastal walks.
