Quiet
Dumfries and Galloway

Newton Stewart sits at the edge of the Machars Peninsula, where rolling hills meet a dramatic coastline of cliffs and sandy bays. Quiet is a ground-floor conversion on a working organic farm, surrounded by countryside that draws walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers throughout the year. The Galloway Forest Park and its network of trails are close by, as are fishing opportunities on local waters and an 18-hole golf course. Wigtown, Scotland's book town, and the historic priory at Whithorn make for interesting day trips; Newton Stewart itself has shops, pubs, a cinema and swimming pool within easy reach.
The property sleeps two in a double bedroom, with a bathroom combining bath and shower. The living space flows between a sitting room with TV and electric woodburner and a kitchen-diner equipped for proper cooking—cooker, dishwasher, fridge and freezer all included. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are provided. There's private parking for two cars and a sheltered courtyard with garden furniture; a bike store is on hand for exploring the surrounding lanes.
The farm operates as a working dairy, and the owner makes cheese from organic milk—varieties sold in the farmshop if you want to try local produce. One dog is welcome to stay. No smoking inside.

So very quiet. The cottage is great. It's spacious, well equipped and finished to a high standard. Every where is clean and tidy. Plenty of outside parking.

Lovely quiet location, with plenty of places to visit in the area, just be prepared for the muddy access track (but it is on a working farm).
