Peace

Dumfries and Galloway

Peace began life as a farm building, one of several conversions on an organic dairy and sheep farm in the Machars Peninsula. The property stands on level ground with all rooms at ground floor, making access straightforward. Two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and a bathroom serve four guests comfortably. The living space combines a sitting area with an electric woodburner and a kitchen-dining room equipped for proper cooking: a full-sized cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and all the basics. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wi-fi are included.

The surrounding countryside offers genuine appeal for walkers, cyclists and nature-watchers. Galloway Forest Park and the Seven Stanes mountain biking trails are close at hand, while the Machars coastline with its sandy beaches and rugged stretches lies within easy reach. Newton Stewart, three miles away, has shops, pubs, restaurants and a cinema; Wigtown, Scotland's book town, is also nearby. The farm itself produces cheese from its dairy herd—available to buy locally. Fishing, sailing and golf are all accessible in the area. A courtyard with furniture surrounds the property, and parking for two cars is on site. Note that smoking is not permitted, and there is a fenced stream running through the courtyard.

So very quiet. The cottage is great. It's spacious, well equipped and finished to a high standard. Every where is clean and tidy. Plenty of outside parking.

Lovely quiet location, with plenty of places to visit in the area, just be prepared for the muddy access track (but it is on a working farm).
