Harbour Retreat

Harbour Retreat is a two-bedroom townhouse on the harbourfront at Garlieston, with everything needed for a self-catering break. The property comes with a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi; heating and electricity are covered. The open-plan ground floor holds the living and dining spaces, with access to a courtyard garden and front patio. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a king bed and its own balcony—plus a bathroom with bath and shower. There is parking for two cars on site.

Garlieston is a small village on a quiet coast, ten yards from the water's edge, where the harbour remains active for fishing and sailing. The village has a pub, restaurant and café. Newton Stewart is nearby for further shopping and dining, while Wigtown, known as a centre for books, is also close. The Isle of Whithorn, with St Ninian's Priory marking Scotland's first Christian settlement, and the Whithorn Trust Museum are within reach. The Dumfries and Galloway coastline offers everything from rocky shores to sand, and attractions further afield are accessible by car.

Children must be supervised at all times as the property is unfenced and directly beside the harbour. The cottage does not permit smoking.
