Holly Cottage

The Solway coastline around Dalbeattie draws walkers and cyclists for its varied terrain and quiet villages. Holly Cottage sits on a working farm at the edge of Rockcliffe, a few miles from both Dalbeattie and Kippford, putting you within reach of the 7 Stanes mountain-bike trails and a network of coastal paths. A shop stands 500 yards away; pubs and restaurants are a mile or so further.

This detached house sleeps four across two bedrooms—a ground-floor room with a zip-and-link super-king bed (separable into singles on request) and an upstairs galleried room with a four-poster king. One bathroom with a shower cubicle serves both. The ground floor holds a living room with a woodburner, a kitchen equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave, a dining area, and a sun room. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with initial logs for the fire. A utility room with a washing machine sits off the kitchen.

Outside, a private garden with seating and furniture provides a place to rest after exploring. Parking for two cars is on site, and there's a bike store. One dog is welcome. The garden contains a pond. No smoking indoors.
