Little Glengyre Farm

Little Glengyre Farm is a single-storey property on the owner's land at the end of a quiet country lane, surrounded by rolling countryside. Everything is on the ground floor, making it straightforward to navigate. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and en-suite shower; the other two bedrooms contain single beds (one pair, one zip-and-link). There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and separate shower cubicle. A woodburner heats the open-plan living and dining space, where the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered, plus initial fuel for the stove and parking for three cars.

One dog is welcome here, though it must be kept on a lead in this sheep country. The back garden has furniture and views across to Corsewall Lighthouse, Arran and the Mull of Kintyre. The location suits walkers and cyclists; there are clifftop routes and sandy beaches at Killantringan, Sandhead and Port Logan within reach. Portpatrick harbour, with restaurants and craft outlets, is nearby. The RSPB reserve at Mull of Galloway is popular with birdwatchers. Fishing and golf are available locally, and the coastal villages around—Drummore among them—have harbours and historical connections. Stranraer offers larger shopping and services.
