Woodrow

Woodrow comes fully equipped for a self-contained stay. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are all included, along with heating throughout the property. Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a king bed, one with two singles. There's a shower room, and the living space is open-plan with a dining area and Freeview Smart TV.

The lodge sits on the edge of Mabie Forest in Dumfries and Galloway. A rear garden with sitting area and furniture opens onto the hot tub, which accommodates four people. Private parking is available for two cars. The location appeals particularly to cyclists: the 7Stanes mountain bike trails are on the doorstep, with routes for all abilities. Loch Arthur Farm Shop sits about a mile away. Dumfries town centre is a short drive, as is Castle Douglas, known locally for food shops and independent retailers. Galloway Forest Park, the UK's largest, lies within reach for walks, wildlife spotting and stargazing. Non-smokers only.
