Lovely and well appointed 3-bedroom house on the outskirts of the picturesque New Abbey village and with a stunning view to the Criffel hill. The house is very comfy and is well equipped. We stayed with 2 dogs and the house is very dog friendly. Responsive owners who left us to our own devices during our stay. The location is perfect for exploring the Dumfriesshire and parts of Galloway by car. The ruins of the Sweetheart Abbey and a lovely Abbey Tea Rooms are walking distance from the house. We were disappointed to see that the village shop was shut indefinitely and were not able to try the local hotel pub as it was cash only. Highly recommend!

Great dog friendly holiday cottage, very well equipped and in good location for exploring Castle Douglas, Kircudbright and Kippford. Excellent walk up Criffel from the cottage.
