Stumbled across this absolutely delightful old world British pub while out a bike ride. Old style pub that is spotless clean. Friendly staff with a well stocked bar and great prices. Hawkstone on tap, what’s not to like! Went for one drink, stayed for a few. Very relaxing and the food was brilliant. Fresh butchers burger that couldn’t have been any nicer. Big, juicy and full of flavour. Will be back.

Fabulous little country pub with 5 rooms across the car park. Cozy, well appointed and clean. The staff were super friendly and relaxed. The bar food is very good with good sized portions and a decent selection of beers. The price is very good for what you get with a breakfast in, cooked or cold. Thoroughly recommended 👌

It was perfect for us, stopping off to pickup a puppy locally. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, should remove a star for the wonderful bathroom lights that illuminated all my wrinkles, but better to extra moisturise that complain. The food, was exceptional pub food, delicious burger meat and bacon, really good value tasty wine and good selection of whisky If I’m getting another dog I’d book again

My partner little girl and I stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend and to say we loved every second is an understatement . Firstly the inn is rustic and quaint with a homely feel, the rooms clean tidy and practical with all you need to relax and enjoy. We ate at the inn for two evening meals and for breakfast, the breakfast was smooth and very enjoyable the perfect start to your day exploring and the evening meals were just amazing all home cooked all delicious and so so filling you couldnt ask for anything more all washed down with a lovely pint or proscecco. What makes this place so special is the owners Colin and Jackie , they went above and beyond to make us feel at home telling us stories of their lives and their family. We feel as though we know the children Katie and Andrew after the loving tales we were told and the charming way they spoke and the love they expressed with their words made it clear they were just wholesome and genuinely good people. Our 2 year old who is a bundle of energy could sense the warmth and felt so comfortable around them and the inn. The location was great for us very rural yet not far from the busier towns and attractions We honestly could not recommend this place highly enough its charm has worked its way into our hearts and we will send everyone we know there and we will go back ASAP This place is a rare gem with the owners being the soul of it I guarantee if you go here and take the time to speak with them enjoy their food and drink and take in their hospitality you will have a fantastic break away. This is exactly what anyone could want who values people and charm over bigger faceless chains We loved it ❤️
