About Travelodge Dunfermline

Halbeath Junction sits just off the M90, giving Travelodge Dunfermline straightforward access to the A92 and the wider Fife road network, with the countryside around Dunfermline close at hand. It's a practical base for anyone passing through or stopping over, whether for business at the nearby Carnegie Conference Centre or a night's rest on a longer journey.

The hotel has 50 rooms spread across three floors, served by a lift, with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in-room, and accessible rooms for those who need them. Reception is staffed around the clock, breakfast is available on-site, and there's an electric vehicle charge point for those who need to top up. Parking is free, though spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early arrival helps. Pets are welcome, which suits guests travelling with dogs.

Rooms are generally kept clean and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, with a quiet atmosphere that suits a good night's sleep, though some visitors have noted that individual rooms can occasionally feel less well looked after. A pub, restaurant and golf course are all nearby, along with local entertainment options, making it easy to fill an evening after the working day or a long drive.

Our room was motorway side, trees kept out noise. Beds comfy, everything very clean. Staff helpful. Breakfast to go if you order does the job.

All the staff were helpful, but I don't recommend this hotel to anyone unless you sleep like a log. Our ground floor room picked up the motorway noise until late but, worse than that, was the banging door every time someone went through. Bear in mind lots of white van men stay here and some are out at 6-ish, so that's when you wake up. Even worse was the low level pulsing noise coming from some electrical equipment in a store room. It wasn't obvious in the day but later it was terrible. I ended up burying myself in pillows to deaden the noise. Love Scotland but sadly not Travelodge. I've seen some reviews saying this is a quiet location etc. Well as the M90 is within 100m I'm not sure how that works, never mind the loud doors banging away. I wonder if some people actually stay at the place they review.

Booked this for our annual Panto trip to Dunfermline. Place was easy to find and tucked away in a quiet corner so no noise or biz which suited us perfect. Plenty of places local to eat & drink which was great. A short trip into the centre of town (by car 5-10mins) which was good for us too. Great undisturbed nights sleep which is always a bonus. Staff were lovely and friendly and accommodated all our requests with a smile. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.
