Pettycur Bay Holiday Park
Burntisland Rd, Kinghorn, Burntisland KY3 9YE, UK
A full-facility family holiday park on the coast between Burntisland and Kinghorn
About Pettycur Bay Holiday Park
This long-established family-owned park occupies a prime coastal position between Burntisland and Kinghorn, with direct beach access and views south across the Firth of Forth. The touring and camping area sits within a larger holiday complex, giving campers use of extensive facilities including a leisure centre with swimming pool and fitness suite, restaurant and lounge bar, well-stocked shop, launderette, and both indoor and outdoor play areas. A games room and snooker room provide evening entertainment, while coastal paths lead to Kinghorn harbour in one direction and Burntisland in the other.
Electric hook-up pitches are available, though booking well ahead is essential for Easter and bank holiday weekends when the park regularly fills. Some visitors note the site can feel a touch tired in places given its long history, but the combination of beachfront location and comprehensive on-site amenities makes it a practical family base for exploring the Fife coast, with Kinghorn beach a short walk and Burntisland's high street and station just minutes by car.

What visitors say
We stayed here for a week in August and had a good holiday. It was peaceful and the views are amazing. We found all the staff team to be friendly and helpful. We ate a few times at the onsite restaurant and we all loved the food (chips are excellent) we did not have a starter as everyone was full just from the mains. I would advise you to book your table early, either the day before or in the morning to avoid disappointment. We did not use the pool / gym etc so could not comment on this, we did notice it looked as if local residents from nearby also use this so I imagine it can get busy peak season. There is a supplement to use the pool or gym. We had a great view from our 5* Executive caravan but not all have this luxury ( see map photo attached) . My advice would be to phone reception before booking to enquire about the location of the caravans, caravan 1 and 2 etc are beside the kids play area so kids being kids can make a lot of noise when playing. At night time the playpark area had older teans hanging about. It did not bother use but it will depend on your own preference regarding noise etc. The caravan park is about 13 mins in the car to Kirkcaldy which has a decent Morrisons supermarket for supplies. Burntisland is nearby, few minutes in the car and has a small co-op. If we were to recommend suggestions to the owners it would be to consider towel hooks, we could find anywhere to hang the wet towels. We had a great stay and hope to return next year. A HUGE thanks to the hard working staff from front house to all those in the background (particularly the cooks).

Views were superb. End of good bit. Customer service is non present on site, and very dismissive by email. The emoji responses to negative reviews says it all. 🤷🏼♂️

Great holiday park. Will be back. Pool is great love the fact that you get the choice of a hot or cold shower. The amusements were very spacious, but absolutely roasting from the heat of the pool. The shop could do with new stock, such as fruit and veg & other essentials, but on the plus side prices were great. I was astounded by the price of the spirits as they were so low. The park was great for my dog, he loved the beaches and the longer lead when at the caravan. Another thing to point out is that pettycur allow supermarket deliveries. I'll be coming back with other family members as I'm sure they'd love it here.

This is our third trip to Pettycur Bay Holiday Park. We never come for a holiday, but for respite from building or in between house moves. The vans are proper homes from home; ours has 3 TVs, 2 bathrooms and a fully fitted kitchen. The decor is good and there's a lot of clever storage. And with insulation and central heating, we are very comfortable. From the balcony, we enjoy a gorgeous view over to Edinburgh. The Park is safe and quiet , with a lovely pool and restaurant. Staff are always helpful . Highly recommended.
