St Ives Guesthouse occupies a building dating back to 1840, set on West Bay in Dunoon, Argyll and Bute. Its period character comes through in an unfussy, relaxed style rather than grand decor, and many rooms make the most of their position with views out over the sea.
Rooms are simply furnished with en-suite bathrooms, and family rooms are available for those travelling in a group. Breakfast is included, and there's a bar on site along with drinks available in rooms, plus a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating for warmer days. The property runs a 24 hour reception and offers free on-site parking, and free WiFi is available throughout.
Golf, fishing and entertainment can all be found nearby, along with a choice of pubs, bars and restaurants for evenings out. Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park lies within reach for those wanting a day outdoors, and Gourock is a short distance away for a change of scene.

This is the most wonderful guest house! The hosts are extremely welcoming and the rooms are beautifully clean, comfortable, quiet and tastefully presented. There is a lovely guests lounge and a breakfast room, both with fabulous views of the bay. Breakfast is second to none with a lovely selection available. We were so pleased to find St Ives Guesthouse as we had a bad experience with another local Inn. We booked in at St Ives at the last minute and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Fabulous!

Is everything you ask for. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you are welcome. Nothing is too much for the host. There make you feel at home. One thing I have to say is St Ives Hotel is in Scotland not Cornwall.

Brilliant hotel in one of the best locations in dunoon. View from the upstairs sitting room is amazing. Beds were very comfortable rooms well decorated and very clean. Breakfast was brilliant I has the cooked breakfast and my wife had the continental both were top quality. Plenty of parking, and straight out the hotel onto the promenade highly recommended.

The most beautiful guest house with the kindest host. We booked very last minute for a break away and we got a lovely family room with a stunning view. Breakfast was out of this world, fresh and delicious and portions are huge! All served with a smile. Gutted to leave. Would highly recommend. Lesley and the St ives team are just wonderful
