Durham's Saint Margarets Garth sits within reach of the River Tees and countryside that draws walkers and cyclists year-round. Castle View is a first-floor guest house with views across to the historic castle and the surrounding landscape. The property sleeps four: a double bedroom, a single, and a pull-out single bed give you flexibility for couples, families or friends sharing. One bathroom with a shower serves the whole house. The open-plan living and dining space has room to gather, with a TV and enough kitchen equipment—hob, oven, fridge, microwave, washing machine—to manage your own meals. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all covered.
The nearest pub is within a mile's walk. The market town centre is close enough for an evening out, with independent shops and cafés scattered through it. Teesdale offers serious walking country if you want to venture further. One dog travels free, and there is on-road parking. The house is non-smoking. Arrival is after 4pm, departure before 10am.

Really nice 2-night stay at Castle View. Rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed. Breakfast options were great and host greeted us personally and made us feel at home. Easy walk to everything you needed to see in Durham.

Great B&B close to the town centre. Slept really well in the comfortable bed and enjoyed the breakfast and the tea making facilities in the room. Shower was large with lots of hot water. Will happily return!

Absolutely outstanding guest house - I was really impressed from the moment I arrived. The room was enormous and very comfortable, with everything I needed and was excellent value for money. It was the perfect temperature and almost unnervingly quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. Breakfast was great, and the owners were very accommodating. I will definitely stay there again when I am next in Durham.
