Bramble Cottage is a single-storey property where everything happens on one level. You arrive into an open-plan living and kitchen space with wooden floors and underfloor heating, a 43-inch smart TV, and French doors opening onto a rear patio with garden furniture and a barbecue. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge; a washing machine is also provided. One bedroom contains a double bed (4ft 6in), the other has two singles (3ft each), and there's a wet room with shower plus a separate toilet.
The cottage sits within eighteen acres of grounds in rural County Durham, surrounded by footpaths and cycling routes. Durham city is ten miles away and the coast slightly further. There's private parking for two cars on site, a bike store, and a front courtyard as well as the rear patio. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; a travel cot and highchair can be arranged on request. The property is on one accessible level and does not permit smoking.

We had an amazing stay at Durham Country Cottages. The bungalow is set in a beautiful, peaceful location surrounded by scenic views, which made it perfect for relaxing and switching off. The underfloor heating was a really nice touch and kept the place warm and cosy throughout our stay. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable straight away. It was also great value for money and felt like a real hidden gem. We had no complaints at all and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We would definitely love to return in the future.

Excellent accommodation.. totally disabled friendly.. smart, clean, tidy excellent facilities in cottage plenty of storage ..easy access and a most welcoming host..

Jean and Amy very helpful, good communication. Pristine clean cottages. Everything you need. Great unobstructed views. Disability accessable wet room. Quality and tastefully presented. Would highly recommend. Close to Dalton Park Outlet Shopping centre.

We stayed in Bramble cottage for 4 nights. It was a lovely stay and the cottage contained everything you would need. Jean and Amy were excellent hosts and very accommodating. They went out of their way to give us a comfortable stay. A very peaceful setting but not far from local attractions and places to visit.
