This former cricket pavilion has been restored as a ground-floor property with ramp access and wide doorways throughout, making it straightforward to navigate. Two bedrooms sleep five: one contains a ¾ double and single bed with ensuite featuring a walk-in shower, grab rails and shower seat; the other has a double bed and ensuite. Both have heated towel rails. The open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with patio doors opening onto private gardens—a terraced front section and larger rear lawn with seating areas. A sofa bed provides flexible sleeping if needed.
The kitchen is fitted for full self-catering, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. On-site parking takes four cars, and there is a bike store. The grounds contain a stream, pond where ducks gather and deer sometimes visit, and a ramped bridge leading to a private island with a rustic gazebo. Walking trails wind through the meadow, and sculptures by local artist Ray Lonsdale are positioned around the property.
The location sits within accessible distance of Durham. Couples and families are welcome; stag and hen parties are not. A no-smoking policy applies throughout.
