East Bridge End Farm

This farmhouse on a working farm near Durham comes with an enclosed garden and countryside views across open fields. Two bedrooms sleep five: one with a double and single bed, the other with two singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment. Downstairs, a living room with open fire and television opens onto a kitchen/dining room with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. Oil heating keeps things warm; electricity, bed linen and towels are included in the price.

The garden is fenced and furnished with seating and a barbecue for outside meals. There is parking for two cars on site. One dog can stay at no extra cost. A pub sits within a mile, and the farm sits in walking distance of Weardale's footpaths. Stanhope village, roughly three miles away, has shops and restaurants. The location works as a base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland and the Lake District, with climbing, horse riding, fishing and swimming all available nearby. No smoking indoors.
