Heather Cottage works well for couples or small families after a self-catering base near Durham. The two bedrooms—a kingsize and a double—sleep up to four, with a shower room on the first floor. Downstairs, the open-plan living and kitchen area has a woodburner, smart TV, and everything needed to cook: oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered.
The south-facing rear garden is enclosed and furnished for sitting out, with a patio area; there's a step down into the garden itself. One dog stays free. Parking is on road. The cottage is non-smoking. Low Etherley sits close to Etherley Cricket Club and within a mile of a pub, with Bishop Auckland and its castle, museums and galleries a short drive away. Check-in is after 2pm and checkout before 10am.
