Lanchester village, three miles away, has three pubs, an Italian restaurant and a fish and chip shop; Knitsley Farm Shop, just over two miles distant, stocks local food and drink. The nearest cycle path is the C2C, and public footpaths crisscross the area for walking and cycling. Teesdale and Weardale, both popular with hikers, lie 20 to 30 minutes' drive away. Durham city is 11 miles south.
Jasmine Cottage is a single-storey property with everything on one level. The open-plan living space contains a 32-inch Freeview TV and DVD player; the kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer. One bedroom has a king bed with en-suite shower; the other has two single beds with an en-suite bath, shower and grab rail. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. The owners keep a golden retriever, two cats, four horses and four sheep on the grounds—all friendly—so your own dog can stay free of charge. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
Outside, a large enclosed lawn has a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue. Your private hot tub overlooks the countryside and the field opposite, where horses graze. There is parking for four cars on site. The cottage does not permit smoking.

Great week away. Cottage had everything we needed, my children loved the dogs Rosie and Scout and the cat Panda. Hot tub was lovely. Great value for money.

What can we say other than it is Fabulous 👌 the cottage is spotless with everything you need,hot tub is really clean and inviting and as for the views and the wonderful animals😍Kevin and Margaret are great hosts with lots of valuable information about nearby places. We all loved our holiday,thankyou so much. ❤

Kevin and Margret are the hostess’ with the mostest. We have loved our Easter weekend get away at Jasmin cottage, the welcome basket was a lovely touch and we all enjoyed the goodies. The cottage has all the facilities anyone would need or want. We enjoyed every evening sat in the hottub admiring the beautiful views. Kevin let Ellie hold one of his lambs which was a great experience for her too. There are lots of places to explore a short drive away with lots to keep our daughter entertained as well as great walks for our pooch too. We feel like there is so much more to explore nearby so we will definitely be back.
