Hall Farm Cottage is a converted barn, 500 years old, standing alone with countryside views across its private grounds. The single bedroom has a kingsize bed and an ensuite with both bath and shower. Downstairs, an open-plan living space combines a sitting area with a wood-burning stove, a dining zone, and a kitchen fitted with electric cooking, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave—everything needed to cook properly or simply reheat. Freeview TV is available if you want it. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, as is the initial fuel for the woodburner.

The garden is enclosed, with patio seating, furniture and a barbecue. The private hot tub is the main draw for most guests. Parking fits two cars. The property is no-smoking. From here, Durham city centre is a 15-minute drive, with its railway station and historic architecture. Bishop Auckland is equally close. Nearby attractions include Raby Castle, Bowes Museum, and access to the Durham Dales for walking and cycling. A pub and restaurant are half a mile away; shops are two miles. This suits couples seeking seclusion on a countryside site with no passing traffic, where bird and wildlife watching is possible straight from the door.

A great place to stay if you are a couple, log fire, hot tub, large open bedroom with en suite. Gardens need some attention and the off road parking with be better if it was slightly larger.

Nice cottage a bit on the small size living room especially , small 2 seater sofa not very comfortable and tv very small , all the other rooms are fine. Outside space and hot tub great but hedges could do with cutting back as attracted insects when I hot tub. Over all a pleasant short stay

Absolutely beautiful, everything there what you need . Lovely cosy cottage, tucked away and very peaceful. Hot tub , wood burner , amazing bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lovely split level garden . It really is a gem, and worth a stay in . We would visit again .
