Everything you need for a self-catering break is already here. The cottage comes with electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels, so you can arrive and settle straight in. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave and washing machine; the living space centres on an open plan arrangement with dining area and Freeview TV. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—served by a shower room.

What sets Roslyn apart is the hot tub on the covered patio, accessible from the kitchen, where you can soak whatever the weather. The cottage sleeps four and is yours alone. Parking for two cars sits on the property, and beyond that lies shared access to 17 acres of paddock and woodland with marked walks and cycle routes. The village of Hamsterley sits between Teesdale and Weardale, putting you within reach of High Force waterfall and the Durham Dales. Durham city, 14 miles away, has its cathedral, castle and independent shops. One dog is welcome at no extra charge. The property is non-smoking.
