The Old Stables - Number 2

The Durham Dales and their network of footpaths start from the doorstep here. Walkers and cyclists will find established routes leading through the surrounding countryside, while Durham itself is close enough for a day trip—the historic city sits just 10 miles south. A pub is within a mile, and major roads are easily reached despite the semi-rural setting near Knitsley.

The Old Stables – Number 2 is a single-storey property with an open-plan living and dining area, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, the other with singles that can be zipped together as a double. There is one shower room. A small enclosed patio with garden furniture and a barbecue opens from the main living space. Two cars can park on site. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, along with a welcome pack of local goods on arrival. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

The property is yours alone—no shared facilities beyond the grounds—and is not suitable for smoking. It sleeps four and suits families, couples and groups of friends.
