Furley Cottages - Boxkite

Boxkite is a ground-floor cottage on the grounds of a restored rural estate near Axminster, suited to couples and small families (children under seven are not accommodated). The single bedroom has a king-size bed, and an ensuite shower means you don't have to leave the room in the morning. The open-plan living and dining space includes a wood-burning stove, and the kitchen is set up for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer all there. Wifi and heating are included, as are bed linen and towels.

Outside, there's a front garden with seating and a back patio where you can grill. The cottage sits within eight acres of grounds that include two ponds, meadows, and wooded areas; the wider estate has a walled garden and shared facilities like a fire pit and picnic tables. One car can park on site, and if you have an electric vehicle, there's a charging point. Pets stay free. No smoking inside. The location puts you within reach of Axminster and the Devon and Dorset borders.
