Furley Cottages - Brigand

Brigand sits on eight acres of countryside near Axminster, within the grounds of what was once the Furley Estate. The cottage is single-storey, built from stone, and designed as an open-plan space that flows from living area through to kitchen and dining without internal walls. One bedroom has a king-size bed, the other two singles that can be linked, and there is one shower room. Essentials like heating, linen, towels and wifi are covered.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer—and the living space includes a TV, DVD player and electric woodburner. French doors open to a patio and garden where you can sit outside. The eight-acre grounds contain open fields, wooded paths and two ponds; there is also a summerhouse and barbecue (shared with other properties on the estate) and private parking for one car. One dog stays free. No smoking indoors.

The cottage has a natural water supply fed by a spring. Children under seven cannot stay here, as the grounds contain unfenced water features. The property suits couples, friends or small families wanting space to explore; Axminster itself is nearby for shops and amenities.
