East Devon

You arrive at Rockenhayne Farmstead and step straight into a single open floor. The living space flows naturally between a sitting area with smart TV, a dining zone, and a kitchen equipped for real cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, and everything else you'd need. Bi-fold doors and patio doors open onto decking that overlooks the valley. One bedroom has a super king bed and its own balcony; the other has two singles. Both have ensuite wet rooms with showers, heated towel rails, and grab rails. Everything is accessible, and everything that matters—bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, heating—is included.
The property sits on a working farm near Seaton in East Devon, reached via a mile-long unpaved track. It's purpose-built and eco-minded, with solar power, an air-source heat pump, underfloor heating, and a private water supply. The enclosed front garden has furniture and a barbecue. There's parking for two cars. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. The property is non-smoking.
This suits anyone who needs level access, wants to cook properly, or simply prefers a quiet rural setting. The A3052 coast road is a mile away; villages and towns are within ten minutes' drive. If you're bringing a young child, a travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Lovely cottage that has a damp issue in the master suite. The smell is overwhelming. Our main issue was the owner who lives on site, entering the property whilst we were out for the day. It jangles our nerves and we won't be returning.

A beautiful lodge in a peaceful and scenic location. The lodge is very well appointed and has everything needed to ensure a stress free and relaxing holiday, a veritable home from home. Thank you Rosemary for being a friendly and helpful hostess. The scones and cream on arrival were most welcome. The one drawback is the mile long track down to the lodge. Unfortunately the poor state of the track can be extremely uncomfortable for people in a wheelchair who have very limited leg movement.

We have had a wonderful week at Rickenhayne. The accommodation was excellent. The bluebells were spectacular and the dogs enjoyed the walks through the woods. A lovely place to stay.
