Rockenhayne Farmstead Clock Cottage sits within a 60-acre estate of woodland and meadow in a deep valley near Seaton, where the landscape draws deer and abundant birdlife. The property itself stands private on the grounds, a full house to yourself with three bedrooms and three bathrooms spread across two floors. Branscombe beach lies roughly 1½ miles away, and the wider Jurassic Coast—with Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Chesil Beach—is within easy reach for day trips or longer exploration on foot or by bicycle.
Downstairs holds a double bedroom with ensuite, two single beds in a second bedroom with shower room, plus a living and dining space with Freeview TV and woodburner. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. Upstairs, a kingsize bedroom with ensuite completes the layout. Heating and electricity are included, along with bed linen, towels and wifi. One well-behaved dog stays free. The enclosed garden has furniture and a barbecue, and you have parking for two cars on site.
The village of Branscombe itself—a short drive away—has a couple of pubs, tea rooms and a post office. From the cottage, numerous walks start at your door, making it ideal for families, walkers or anyone wanting to base themselves within reach of the coast without staying in a seaside town.

Lovely cottage that has a damp issue in the master suite. The smell is overwhelming. Our main issue was the owner who lives on site, entering the property whilst we were out for the day. It jangles our nerves and we won't be returning.

A beautiful lodge in a peaceful and scenic location. The lodge is very well appointed and has everything needed to ensure a stress free and relaxing holiday, a veritable home from home. Thank you Rosemary for being a friendly and helpful hostess. The scones and cream on arrival were most welcome. The one drawback is the mile long track down to the lodge. Unfortunately the poor state of the track can be extremely uncomfortable for people in a wheelchair who have very limited leg movement.

We have had a wonderful week at Rickenhayne. The accommodation was excellent. The bluebells were spectacular and the dogs enjoyed the walks through the woods. A lovely place to stay.
