Yawl House

You enter Yawl House into a properly proportioned hallway that opens onto the ground floor's principal spaces: a living room with television and DVD player, a separate sitting room, a dining room, and a kitchen fitted with an Aga and electric cooker alongside the usual appliances. French doors lead from the kitchen through to a conservatory that overlooks the large garden beyond. The utility room handles laundry, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs, six bedrooms are arranged around a landing—two with double beds and four with pairs of single beds—served by a second bathroom and a wet room.

The garden is the property's real asset: a sheltered expanse of lawn, patio and terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue. You have private parking for four cars on site. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. The house sits about a mile inland from Lyme Regis, putting you within easy reach of the town's harbour, beach and the fossil-rich Cobb, as well as the walking opportunities of the wider Jurassic Coast. No smoking indoors.
