Middledown

Families and groups of up to six will find Middledown works well as a complete, private base. The property is a converted granary on a stable yard in East Hampshire, surrounded by South Downs countryside. Three bedrooms—one with a zip-and-link kingsize (or two singles on request), one with a kingsize, one with two single beds—and two bathrooms make it straightforward to arrange sleeping spaces. The ground floor holds the main living area, kitchen and first bathroom; the upper floor has the remaining two bedrooms and ensuite. One dog is welcome.

The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, with an electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave. The open-plan ground floor connects the living space to a dining area that opens onto a private patio; beyond that is a shared courtyard with garden furniture, where you can sit out. Wifi and electricity are included. Heating is electric, bed linen and towels are provided. The property doesn't permit smoking.

Being part of a working stable yard, it suits people drawn to the countryside—walkers, cyclists, and those interested in riding. Inadown Farm Livery Stables is on site, offering the option to book guided rides. The enclosed garden and on-site parking remove one set of daily logistics.
