Faulkers Lakes - Bramble Lodge

Bramble Lodge works well for families wanting a quiet base near the seaside, or for anglers drawn to the five coarse fishing lakes on the property. The lodge sleeps four across two bedrooms—a double with its own shower room, and a twin—plus two bathrooms between them. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. The open-plan ground floor has a living area with Freeview TV and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. Essentials like bed linen, towels, heating and wifi are included.

The real draw is the private hot tub on the decked veranda, overlooking the fishing lakes. Day tickets for fishing cost £5, or £25 a week if you're serious about it. The lodge sits within five acres of landscaped grounds shared with four other detached properties on the site, with a lawned garden and sitting-out area. Parking is for three cars. Skegness beach is five miles away; Burgh le Marsh's shops and pubs are two miles. The Lincolnshire Wolds, Fantasy Island at Ingoldmells, and various antique shops in Horncastle are within easy reach. Note that there is an unfenced lake 20 yards from the property, and smoking is not permitted inside.
