Glebe Pine Lodge sits on a working farm with 20 acres of grounds to explore. Everything is on one level: a sitting room with a 42-inch TV and electric fire opens onto decking; the kitchen has an electric oven, hob and microwave for self-catering; one bedroom holds a double bed, the other two singles; and the bathroom combines a bath and shower. Essentials like electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard, plus Wi-Fi throughout.

The setting lends itself to outdoor activity. A fishing lake on the property is free to use (a licence is required), and from the lodge you can step straight into walking and cycling routes across the surrounding countryside. The grounds are shared with the farm, and there's parking for two cars on site. A pub and shop are under a mile away in the village.

For those wanting a base without too much driving, Lincoln is roughly 30 minutes away; the Lincolnshire Wolds, Louth's weekly markets, and Horncastle's antiques shops are all within reach. The property is non-smoking, and one well-behaved pet is welcome. Note that an unfenced lake sits 50 yards from the lodge.
