Families and couples looking for a base near Skegness will find The Cooperage works well for a week or weekend away. This converted cottage has two bedrooms—a super kingsize and a kingsize—and one bathroom, sleeping four. The whole property is yours alone, with private parking and a small rear patio, though there is a shared front garden with other properties on the converted pub site. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included; underfloor air source heating and a woodburner keep things warm, and the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with dishwasher and washer-dryer among the appliances.

Wainfleet itself has pubs, shops and a railway station. The coast at Skegness is roughly five miles away, with its Blue Flag beaches, fairground, aquarium and seal sanctuary. Inland, the Lincolnshire Wolds offer walking country, while the nearby River Steeping is good for bank fishing. Cycle routes crisscross the area, and both Gibraltar Point and Frampton nature reserves give serious walkers and birdwatchers plenty to explore. Smoking is not permitted. Travel cots, highchairs and stairgates are available on request, and one well-behaved pet is welcome. Check-in is from 4pm, checkout by 10am.

We have just recently stayed in the malt house for a week we was away with our grandson visiting skegness, we were absolutely amazed at how beautiful the cottage was it was so modern comfortable and cosy and spotlessly clean, we have been away in various cottages and lodges around the country but we must say this is the best place we have stayed, the beds and pillows are amazingly comfortable the best nights sleep ive had in a long time, the cottages are situated in a peaceful little village were there is a friendly family pub 2 mins down the road that serves gorgeous homemade food a lovely sleepy village, we loved it here so much we have just rebooked for Xmas ❤️ Also zoe was so kind and helpful ☺️ when messaging her and helped us in any way she could a beautiful perfect place 😍 ❤️

We loved our stay at the beautiful Malt House. It was very beautiful, clean, well-maintained, and matched the photos perfectly. It looked just as stunning in person as it did in the photos. The smart mirror in the bathroom was a fantastic feature that we thoroughly enjoyed. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We had the best nights sleep here. The location was peaceful and convenient, with a nearby Co-op and Skegness just 10 minutes away. Uber's availability was a plus. Wainfleet Train Station it’s just a few minutes away from the cottages. We had a wonderful holiday and we will definitely rebook. Zoe was a responsive and helpful host, making our experience even better. Highly recommended for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

Arrived here Friday evening in the 3 bed property. The place was immaculate and beautifully furnished to a high standard with everything and more that you need for a home from home holiday. Lots of restrictions relating to the dogs in the property but manageable. The village has everything you need at hand, 2 pubs, Cantonese takeaway, kabab and burger house and a co-op. A 15 minute journey to Skegness and all local supermarkets.
