Royal Oak Cottages - The Mash Room
East Lindsey
The Mash Room is a single-storey cottage converted from the former Royal Oak pub in Wainfleet. It has one bedroom with a zip-and-link kingsize bed, one bathroom with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail, and an open-plan living space combining kitchen, dining and sitting areas. A woodburner sits in the living room; the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and washer-dryer. Underfloor air source heating runs throughout, and wifi is included along with bed linen and towels.
The cottage sits on ground level with level access to the entrance and a lawned front garden with seating. Parking is provided for one or two cars, and there is a bike store on site. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted.
Wainfleet village has pubs, shops, takeaways and a railway station. The seafront at Skegness lies 5 miles away, with its funfair, amusements, aquarium and seal sanctuary. Gibraltar Point nature reserve and Frampton nature reserve both lie within reach for walking and birdwatching. The River Steeping, about a mile off, allows fishing from the bank, and there are cycle routes through the surrounding countryside.
