East Lindsey

Mill Road Lakes sits quietly on the edge of the Lincolnshire coast, where fishing lakes stretch in front of the properties and sandy beaches lie just over a mile away. The Laurels is one of the lodges here, a ground-floor place that opens onto its own decked area with furniture and a private hot tub for four. Pets stay free, and the whole property is yours alone.

Inside, the open-plan living space has a smart TV and sofa bed, while the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer all there. One bedroom has a double bed with an ensuite shower; the other has two singles. The second bathroom has a bath with shower over. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are included. A travel cot and highchair are available if you need them.

Ingoldmells beach is a straightforward walk away, with quiet stretches of coast and seafront cafés. Skegness town centre is three and a half miles off, offering the usual seaside attractions; Fantasy Island and Butlins are similarly close. Those who fish will find the lakes well-stocked. The site itself is known for being clean and well-maintained, with a relaxed feel. No smoking in the property.

Short: (very) well maintained, quiet site in a perfect location. Long: our Lodge backed onto one of 2 fishing lakes which are well stocked with fish. The site is lovely, a mixture of private and rented lodges (plus mobile pitches)- the owners and staff are doing a great job at maintaining high standards of toilet blocks for mobiles or the quality of lodges, I've never been in one with so much room! Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere quiet yet near to all the attractions the area has. Very dog friendly as well.
