Clapham Holme Farm Cottages - Cart House
East Riding of Yorkshire

This converted barn sits on a working smallholding in Great Hatfield, surrounded by 10 acres where guests can see farmyard animals. The Cart House is one of several holiday properties on the site, each with its own entrance and parking. What sets it apart is the scale of the ground floor: an open-plan living and dining space with a full-sized range cooker, island unit, and bi-folding doors that open directly onto a private courtyard. That courtyard is enclosed, heated, and contains a hot tub for five people.
Upstairs are three bedrooms – two with king-size beds and one single – and a bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking; the lounge has a wood-effect electric fire and smart TV. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and all heating are included. A travel cot and highchair are available. Outside the courtyard, you have access to shared grounds with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is parking for three cars on the property. The location suits families or couples wanting a few days away; it is near enough to Hull to explore, with the East Riding coastline within reach.

Me and my family have just enjoyed our 3rd holiday in Primrose cottage and loved it, again. We even brought my parents, who stayed in Cowslip cottage and they have enjoyed it just as much. The whole site is lovely and peaceful. I love sitting by the lake and my kids love the football pitch and animals, and they even cried when we had to come home. The owners Liz & Dave are just so lovely and welcoming. They have created such a wonderful place to switch off from the world and make amazing memories. If i was planning on getting married, i would absolutely have it here, it must be so magical. However, i will just have to look forward to booking another holiday next year.

What an amazing campsite. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. The owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. They had covered everything from a nice area to walk the dogs and the lake with its own beach. 10/10

Lovely little farm, with a few cottages, an area for campers, a lake with a couple of boats, farm animals, play area for small children and football goals for any age. The hosts were very welcoming and happy to chat and tell you about the animals. A very quiet and peaceful area, even with the odd donkey 🫏 or horse noises. I stayed in the Hayloft so had the added extra of the hot tub, which was fab and private with screening up. 2 beaches are close by mappleton and Hornsea and a tiny shopping village, would definitely recommend x
