Acorn cottage works well for couples or small families after a relaxed break away from the bustle, and because everything is on one level with ramped access front and back, it suits anyone who prefers step-free living. The newly built cottage accommodates four guests across two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a king bed in one room and twin singles in the other. Both have en-suite or nearby shower facilities. The whole property is yours alone, with private parking for two cars and a garden you won't share with anyone else.

Inside, the open-plan kitchen and living space means cooking and socialising blend together easily. You get an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and washer-dryer, so catering for yourselves poses no problem. The sitting room has an electric wood burner, Smart TV and French doors leading straight into the garden. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. One dog can stay with you free of charge.

Beyond the French doors sits an enclosed garden with furniture and a private hot tub for four. The cottage lies within reach of York and the wider East Riding countryside. Smoking is not permitted inside.
