York itself is within reach, as are the Yorkshire Wolds and the coast beyond. Fern Cottage gives you a base to explore all three. The property is a new-build set among mature pine trees, with an enclosed garden that includes a hot tub for four people and space to move around freely. One small dog stays free.

Inside, there are three bedrooms spread across two floors: two twins downstairs and upstairs, plus a super kingsize that can split into singles if you prefer. A shower room and an ensuite toilet serve the bedrooms. Downstairs, the kitchen is fitted with proper cooking equipment—electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, slow cooker—so you can prepare anything from a quick breakfast to a full meal. The living room has a large sofa and picture windows onto the garden. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included; there is on-site parking for three cars. The cottage suits families and couples only, and smoking is not permitted.
