Hogbert’s Hideaway

Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve is on the doorstep, with walking trails through protected wetland down to Oulton Broad. The broad itself offers sailing, boat hire, paddle boarding and fishing; Lowestoft's traditional seafront is three miles away. A café and adventure playground run from the reserve's own centre, and pubs and restaurants line the waterside nearby.

Hogbert's Hideaway is a former wildlife trust visitors centre converted into a single ten-person rental spread across one ground floor. It has four bedrooms (three kingsize, one with a kingsize and two singles), three bathrooms, and a kitchen equipped for cooking properly—electric range, full-size fridge, dishwasher. The main living space opens on to a patio through French doors. Beyond that are two bonus rooms: a cinema with an 86-inch screen, and a games room with table football and air hockey. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. One well-behaved pet stays free.

A charcoal BBQ, garden furniture and a bike store occupy the front grounds; private parking fits five cars. The property does not permit smoking. Access is via four steps at the entrance, though a level route reaches the rear of the building.
