We just had our daughter's wedding at this venue. The hotel is beautiful, lovely location. The road down is a bit pot holey but it isn't too bad if.you are careful. The rooms were teally roomy and comfy. Hotel grounds are very very well looked after. The wedding planner, Hannah is such a lovely lady, so helpful and really listened to what the happy couple wanted. The breakfast was very good. The staff here are very friendly and nothing seems to be a problem. I would highly recommend a stay.

Our Afternoon tea today was enjoyable, In beautiful surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere. A couple of small things would have improved the satisfaction. The paper serviettes used were very poor quality and better ones would certainly give a more classy feel - as we left we noticed a cabinet containing linen serviettes, surely a couple more used for the 'tea's wouldn't add a lot to the hotels laundry? The seats are a tad aged and needed a cushion- which was not in place- to sit comfortably at the table. All the food was superb, very fresh - especially the cheese straws 😋. The lady on reception Heather was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this venue if the above recommendations were carried out.

We had the most amazing and special day at Ivy House. A very welcoming and warm atmosphere from all the staff! Thank you to everyone there that helped us with our special day especially to Hannah for helping us every step of the way with the process. Couldn’t recommend Ivy House enough, the whole venue is so beautiful and perfect for a wedding. We fell in love with this venue as soon as we went to see it and seeing it all set up on the day confirmed we 100% made the correct choice! Our BBQ food in the evening was amazing and everyone loved it. Chips were 10/10!!! Thank you all and will definitely be coming again to stay💜

Our wedding at the Ivy Country House Hotel was, overall, a beautiful and memorable day. The venue itself was stunning, and the wedding experience as a whole was amazing. Unfortunately, several issues with the reception staff — particularly one receptionist — caused unnecessary stress throughout the stay. There seemed to be repeated confusion and misinformation given to both us and our guests. We were asked multiple times about room payments and breakfast inclusions, despite everything already being paid for and confirmed through Booking.com. We had to repeatedly provide proof to correct these mistakes. Guests were also incorrectly told their rooms had not been paid for, that breakfast was not included, and that checkout was 10:30am instead of the confirmed 11:00am. What was most disappointing was the overall attitude and lack of professionalism shown on arrival and throughout the stay. For someone who is effectively the face of the business, the receptionist came across as disorganised, dismissive, and poorly informed. On such an important occasion, attention to detail and clear communication matter enormously, and sadly this let the hotel down. The venue itself deserves praise, but the front desk experience fell well below the standard you would expect for a wedding venue.
