The Cart Lodge

The Cart Lodge is a converted barn set in rural East Suffolk, among 20 acres of open ground where horses graze and owls nest. The building retains its original character throughout, with a light and spacious interior arranged across two floors. It sleeps four across three bedrooms: a kingsize on the ground floor and two singles upstairs, with one bathroom serving the property. Downstairs you'll find the living room, a combined kitchen and dining space with an electric cooker and full appliances, and a separate toilet.

The essentials—bed linen, towels and wi-fi—are provided. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Outside, the property has its own garden with terrace, furniture and barbecue, plus a private hot tub. There's parking for two cars and a bike store if you're planning to explore on two wheels. An unfenced lake lies within the grounds. Smoking is not permitted inside.

The location works well for a coastal break: Southwold's Blue Flag beach and famous pier are just three miles away, and Walberswick village is within easy reach across the footbridge. Beccles, Minsmere and Dunwich are all under eight miles distant. Norwich, with its castle and cathedral, is 26 miles north. A shop and pubs can be found one mile away.
