The Granary

Woodbridge's riverside setting—a working harbour town in the heart of Suffolk's coast and countryside—puts you within reach of Aldeburgh, Southwold's beach, and the castle at Framlingham. The Granary occupies four acres of gardens shared with the owners' farmhouse, complete with a hard tennis court and a lily pond stocked with ducks. The converted barn itself is detached, giving you the whole place to yourselves.

Ground floor holds a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower over the tub, and a combined kitchen and living space with an electric cooker, dishwasher, and washer-dryer. Three further single bedrooms occupy the first floor, reached by external open-tread stairs, plus a separate toilet. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided. There is an unfenced pond in the grounds, so take note if you have young children. One dog is welcome.

The Station Hotel and other pubs sit within a mile. An 18th-century post mill at Saxtead Green is the same distance away. The property works for families or groups; if you need more space, the neighbouring Stables can be booked alongside The Granary. No smoking indoors.
