Classic seafront hotel on Devonshire Place, Eastbourne, with spotless en-suite rooms and evening entertainment thrown in.

About Imperial Hotel

Rooms at the Imperial Hotel come with en-suite bathrooms, and the housekeeping is kept to a noticeably high standard, so guests walk into spaces that are consistently clean and well cared for. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, along with drinks in room, a lift for easier access, and free WiFi throughout, making it a straightforward base whether travelling with children or with mobility needs in mind.

The hotel sits on Devonshire Place in Eastbourne, close to the seafront, and offers classic coastal charm rather than anything flashy. Breakfast, packed lunches and kids' meals are all available, and there's a restaurant, bar and snack bar on site, with a wide choice of hot dishes on the menu; that said, the kitchen's consistency has been questioned by some diners, so results can vary. Evening entertainment is laid on, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.

Outside the hotel, the surrounding area suits an active stay, with golf, fishing, watersports, cycling and walking routes all nearby, plus further pubs and restaurants within easy reach for those who fancy exploring beyond the hotel's own menu.

Still on holiday here and can only praise the staff and service provided. Being a celiac and requiring a strict gluten free diet I’m being catered for to a high level. From the time we arrived and our dining table allocated the staff have gone out of their way to provide all I need and provide is varied menu and very good food. All staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms basic, but clean although a few more hanging hooks would help. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Imperial.

This hotel and all of the staff in my opinion are perfection 👌 I have stayed several times travelling with Daishas .Out of all Daishas hotels this has to be my number 1 everytime . I live in Yorkshire and it is a long journey but well worth it when you arrive . Can't believe its only rated as 2 star . Icing on the cake 🎂 for me was The Beach Festival ⛱️ Defo come again for that 👌

This was our first Daish's holiday at The Imperial Hotel. We spent 4 days & 3 nights at the hotel. Staff were really helpful & friendly from reception through to the dining room. We stayed full board & the food quality was excellent. We don't normally do 3 sittings a day & we found it a bit too much, even cutting down to one course at lunch time. Entertainment again was good with a couple games of bingo & live music with a different artist each night. It's obviously age appropriate & was enjoyed by the guests. The rooms felt a little bit dated & tired but ultimately clean. They have tea & coffee facilities & a TV. There wasn't a grab handle on the wall to help you in & out of the bath for the shower. People we spoke to liked the hotel & praised the staff & amenities. We were just a short walk from the seafront at Eastbourne. We did have good weather during our stay. We had a very professional coach driver who was both friendly & helpful with all of the passengers.
