About The Sheldon B&B
Burlington Place sits within easy reach of Eastbourne's seafront and town centre, with the open country of the South Downs National Park not far beyond, giving The Sheldon B&B a useful base for both beach days and walking trips. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, a point regularly appreciated by those staying here.
Rooms are en-suite and comfortably furnished, each with its own individual decor rather than a uniform look, and drinks are provided in the room. A lift serves the building and reception operates around the clock. Breakfast is a particular strength, with a good range of options including dishes cooked to order, and it's served in an atmosphere staff work hard to keep warm and personal - helped along, guests often note, by a friendly dog on the premises.
There's a small gym on-site for those who want to keep up a routine, and the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, watersports, cycling and walking, along with pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby for evenings out. It's a straightforward, well-run stopping point for exploring Eastbourne and the Downs beyond.

What guests say
Just wow... Such a lovely, cool little place with absolutely wonderful staff and everything you could possibly need. We stayed here for one night whilst at a dance festival and are so pleased we found it. The team cannot do enough for you, they will accommodate anything they're able to, and the beds are ridiculously comfortable! The only thing that was less than idea was the water pressure in the shower in our room, but you can work with it with a little patience. We were also able to take our 2 small dogs with us. Overall, I'd highly recommend, and would definitely book here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Highly recommend. Very warm and friendly staff. Steve and Tundi ensured I had everything I needed and were attentive and welcoming. The b & b has a brilliant lounge for relaxing, big comfy sofas and chairs and books. The microwave and fridge in dining room for guests means you can prepare own food too and a nice touch. I had a good veggie breakfast too. Couple of mins walk from seafront and 5 mins to Towner. CK the dog is adorable. Brilliant decor on walls and ceiling. I will definitely return when visiting Eastbourne for walking. A unique gem.

Our stay was amazing! We had a wonderful time with our two kids (11 months and 3 years old). The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The place itself is beautiful full of character and charm. The kitchen has its own unique history, and the lobby and rooms have a lovely vintage atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special We absolutely loved it and truly felt like part of the family. We would definitely love to come back!
