About Free Range Glamping
Campfires, birdsong and spectacular scenery – Free Range Glamping delivers all the best bits of camping alongside a few home comforts, like a proper bed and a woodburning stove. Set on the edge of peaceful woodland at Bore Place, a 500-acre organic farm near Edenbridge, the site offers just a handful of well-spaced units, each with its own kitchen and private firepit where you can unwind beneath the trees.
Walkers are spoilt for choice here. Three waymarked trails cross the farm's fields and woodlands, or you can pick up a map from reception and venture further into the Kent countryside. Back at camp, the birdsong and sense of seclusion make it easy to switch off completely.
Stock up on supplies in Edenbridge, 15 minutes away, where you'll also find plenty of restaurants if you fancy a night off from cooking. Note that dogs aren't permitted on site.

What visitors say
I was part of a group & we hired the whole glamping site for a hen party. I stayed in one of the yurts, spacious, clean, comfy beds, kitchen sink & gas stove outside with our own compostable toilet discreetly behind the yurt. I am used to staying on sites with composting toilets so had no problem with this but for those that prefer a more sanitised experience there is a separate flushing toilet & shower a short walk at the main house for the glampers. I loved the whole outdoor experience & really enjoyed the outdoor shower with stunning views. Each unit is spaced away for privacy & quiet & we made a ‘base camp’ at the other yurt where we all ate & socialised. The site went out of their way to move chairs/tables to ensure we were comfortable. Bonus was we had a large canvas to give shade. I noted each accommodation had a shaded area & comfortable outdoor seating with fire pits. Each accommodation is different & unique & all looked comfortable with great views. This is an eco site & the biodiversity was evident. I have not seen so many butterflies for ages. I would thoroughly recommend Bore Place glamping as a whole site or as an individual. There was an area a short walk near main house to charge phones but really it was so lovely not having electric & just switching everything off! If you don’t have a car it is also possible to walk from Penshurst Station - opposite The Little Brown Jug pub where we had a fabulous brunch. I forgot to mention the stunning night sky! Watching the mist roll over the fields early morning - I loved it - thank you Bore Place Glamping x

Not a camper by nature so compromised on Glamping and this one is only a 40 min drive from home. Had a really good time. Loved sleeping in a bed and it was nice and warm. We were in the Barbra hut, which was great. I also loved the fact there are only 4 other huts so feels really secluded. We BBQ outside the hut. The wagon/hot was really nice and comfortable. It had a stove, lights and a good toilet!

I had such a lovely stay here. Chris was very welcoming and accommodating. There was the option of ordering local produce from Bore place so that it is ready to collect upon arrival. We ordered the burgers, salad, truffle cheese, and brownies, all of which were incredibly delicious. One of the things I loved about the Glamping was the fire pit, which you can use for cooking too. It was incredibly peaceful, being under the stars with the recliner chairs, fire, marshmallows, and greenery. There are some nearby walks, and we cycled to a nearby tea house for breakfast. All in all a lovely peaceful getaway, for a very reasonable price, which I could see myself doing again. The only thing I could suggest for improvement is to give the shared fridge a clean.

We went for 2 nights and had the most amazing time. It was when we had the very hot September evening and the most glorious Saturday. We had a great fire pit both nights and watched the stars. The yurt was very warm and the bed very comfy. In the morning the light was wonderful. We totally switched off and relaxed. The Sunday brought rain but it was joyous to be under cover, warm and watching the beautiful view. Terrific walks and a great pub for food in Charcott. Definitely book again
