About Lothianbridge Caravan Park

Lothianbridge Caravan Park is an RV park on the outskirts of Newtongrange, between Dalkeith and Gorebridge. The site accommodates motorhomes and caravans across its pitches, with showers provided for guests. The scale is modest—this is an intimate site rather than a sprawling complex, which tends to mean a quieter atmosphere than you'd find at larger parks.

Facilities are straightforward: showers are on-site. The Sun Inn is just a few minutes' walk away if you fancy a pint without moving the van. The location puts you within striking distance of the Lothians countryside, though you're not remote—Newtongrange has shops and services nearby, and Dalkeith is close by.

What visitors say

Everything was perfect. The toilets are regularly cleaned and the showers are hot ; the grass is well kept and fairly flat ; there is a washing machine, toaster, microwave and kettle. Nothing to complain about. The owner was absolutely wonderful and let us leave some of our luggage while we visited Edinburgh.

Very nice campsite. With my tent I stood just next to the impressive bridge. Toilets and showers are warm and clean. Sound bounces off the bridge, making the sound of the road several times louder, but this is not something that is within the powers of the owners to change, and is a small price to pay when staying at such a cool place.

The road between camping place makes a lot of noise when someone passes, even just by walking… we woke up in the middle of the night because of that. The rest is good, there are a lot of places, not a lot of showers and toilettes (2 of each for men and women) but that was fine.

Nice place to park your motorhome for the night. £30 with electricity. Perfectly clean hot showers. You push the button once and you get long enough for a quick shower, twice and you have a luxurious shower. Walking distance to the train station and £7 for a return ticket to the centre of Edinburgh. The staff are so nice you would have them over for Christmas dinner.
