Perfect day for a family day out all weathers. Free admission, informative museum, interesting displays. Good for children to learn about lifestyles /living conditions from the past. There’s a cafe and a pub there as well. Good size park with a little lake to observe the ducks and swans. Parking for 2 hours just under £2. Card payment only.

Lovely location for a photoshoot. This was a prom shoot and the grounds and building made it perfect for a variety of shots.

Delightful place with walks, woods, lakes and the museum. We were there to walk the dog, she thoroughly enjoyed exploring the grounds. She also enjoyed the cafe area, we were able to sit outside for a light lunch. The cakes looked delicious, saving those treats for next time. Parking is reasonable, quite a few shady places.

Visitors say this museum and park offers beautiful grounds for walks, a well-laid-out and free-to-enter museum, and a lovely cafe with delicious food like pizzas and scones. They also highlight the reasonable parking fees and the friendly, attentive staff.
