About St Michaels Guest House
St Michaels Guest House occupies an iconic period townhouse on Northfield Terrace, within five minutes' walk of Elgin's railway and bus stations and close to the shops, restaurants and distilleries of the town centre. Renovated and reopened in 2016, it offers eight rooms across superking, double, twin and family configurations, each equipped with televisions, hospitality trays and robes.
A guest lounge with an open fireplace gives the house a homely feel, and breakfast is served in the Thistle Dining Room using local produce where possible, with gluten-free and vegetarian options available on request.
Its central location makes it a practical base for visitors without a car, with Elgin Cathedral and the High Street both within easy walking distance, and it suits couples or solo travellers looking for a more personal alternative to the town's larger hotels.

First time staying here - great location and so close to High Street. Easy parking , comfortable beds, felt like I was staying at home. Hazel made a tasty breakfast and we even had a small glass of fizz in the garden watching the sun go down. Will be back soon - many thanks

This is a beautiful house, well cared for and clean. The service and the breakfast was excellent. I sat in the bird-filled garden and read after breakfast. It's also a very short walk to the pubs and restaurants of Elgin. Highly recommended and I'll definitely stay here again.

A 1 night stopover. Great location with easy walks to downtown. Really nice to have an updated bathroom and room in a historical building with onsite parking. It was unfortunate that a few guests having a late night hangout kept us up (Hazel apologized and mentioned it was an unusual situation). Also the low hanging chandelier in the room was a bit of a hazard for my tall husband :D. But we will be happy to stay here again next time we are in Elgin.

I just had a lovely 4 night stay. Hazel and her staff keep the home and rooms beautifully. My bed was very comfortable and breakfast each morning was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to recommend for others. Thank you Hazel your guesthouse just checked another box ✔️for my visit to Elgin
