About Premier Inn Falkirk Central

A cooked-to-order breakfast and an on-site restaurant with bar make Premier Inn Falkirk Central a solid base for food as well as sleep. The bar serves drinks through the evening, and rooms come with the option of drinks brought straight to the door, useful after a day spent exploring Falkirk.

The hotel has 51 rooms across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and 24 hour reception on hand for anything guests need. Beds are comfortable and showers work well, though some rooms could do with a bit more upkeep. Accessible rooms are available, and free on-site parking with electric vehicle charging covers those arriving by car.

Set on Main Street, close to the Falkirk Wheel and with canal views nearby, the hotel puts guests within easy reach of the town centre. Golf, fishing and horse riding are all nearby for those wanting to fill the day, while pubs, bars and restaurants close by make evenings just as easy to plan.

Central is a bit of a strange location as it's not central, good for arriving by car but not so on public transport, the flooring in the room was loose and lumpy under the carpet, as if the floor had been ply lined and the ply had come loose and there weren't any usb sockets in the room, cleanliness was ok, not dirty but not clean to the standard I've seen on many other PI sites. Room was quiet except for the family in the next room and the air con kept the room a good temperature, whoever came up with the light card wants a raise, first time we've been given one. Breakfast was unusual as there wasn't the usual choices for continental and it didn't appear that cooked breakfast was a buffet like every other site I've visited. Staff were fairly helpful though they did appear stretched.

Good Premier Inn. Convenient free parking for residents. Friendly reception staff. Nice room and ensuite, well maintained and a really comfy bed. It was just what we wanted. The restaurant was better than expected. It was previously a Beefeater restaurant open to the public, but is now just for residents of the Premier Inn. There was a special offer for evening meal and breakfast which was excellent value and good food. The Steak was great, and the breakfast was cooked to order - whatever you want to choose. And so much better than self service from a precooked buffet. All good 😎👍👍👍👍

No issues with any of the staff here. I do believe the rooms should be upgraded. I visited during the world cup 2026 and the room TV very small facing an angle. DO NOT BOOK HERE in summer and AIRCONDITIONING IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU as it only made slight sounds, it did not work! Location is good especially if you want to visit grocery stores and so on.

Staff cuts have made this homeless and less attractive. The reception desk is rarely staffed, and we’re told to return to the restaurant an hour later as they had only one chef on duty. Also, we requested a favourite room months in advance, confirmed the day before we travelled, only to be told on arrival it was not available. Poor management of generally friendly and helpful staff.
